TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc. provided Structural Engineering design, contract administration and threshold inspection services to the City of Pembroke Pines for this new $58 million City Hall and Civic Center Complex. The complex includes a 166,895 SF Civic Center with a 3,500 seat acoustically designed Performing Arts / Banquet / Exhibition Grand Hall with a full-service kitchen; dressing, performing and green rooms; grand lobby and administrative offices. The stand- alone 6,000 SF Commission Chambers building serves as the legislative venue for elected officials. A 10,000 SF art gallery defines the north end of the Complex.
Three buildings surround a multi- media ready Community Plaza. The 180-foot-long, 70-foot high wall of glass separates the Civic Center from the Community Plaza, which provides a great view into and out of the building. The complex was designed using “green” practices.
